Belmopan is the capital of Belize. Belmopan is the seat of government. As a result many of its inhabitants work for the national government in various administrative or technical roles. Belmopan currently has business establishments, international banks, several local financial institutions, a modern bus terminal and market complex.Belize is in Central America, bordering the Caribbean Sea, between Guatemala and Mexico. Risks include muggings and robberies as well as violent crime including homicide.The currency of Belize is the Belize Dollar (BZD). US dollars are also accepted as currency. Cases of Chikungunya virus have been reported.The population of Belmopan is 16,450 (2019 est.), while the inflation rate (CPI) is -0.1% for Belize as at October 2019.Xpatulator Hypothetical Tax for Belize is based on the current personal income tax rate which is a flat rate of 25% for those earning above BZD$26,000 per year. Those employed and residing in Belize with total income per annum from all sources of less than BZD$26,000 are exempt from Income Tax.
